Potentate - 1937

The pangs of the depression years seemed to be diminishing when Noble A. T. Devall became Potentate in 1937. For the first time in three years, it is recorded that “the year unfolded with the usual entertainment and ceremonials for membership”.

By arrangements with the City of Houston and the general contractor, permission was granted to hold the circus in the Sam Houston Coliseum before it was completed. For the third time in 22 years, the circus was held and proved to be a successful undertaking.

All-State was held in Wichita Falls and Arabia Temple’s units were there.
