Units
WHAT ARE TEMPLE UNITS?
Units are smaller groups organized within a temple for a specific purpose. Many of these are the uniformed units so familiar to parade watchers: Patrol, Oriental Bands, Shriners Bands, Horse and Motor Patrols, Clowns, and Legions of Honor.
General Information:
The Alchemist Unit is where Nobles bond over a shared love of home brewing — beer, wine, mead, cider, spirits, and sodas. We're passionate about the craft, and our mission is straightforward: educate, inspire, and celebrate the art of homemade beverages. As a social club at heart, we host friendly competitions, represent Arabia at the Texas Shrine Home Brewers Association (TSHBA) on the state and national stage, and gather every year for our beloved chili cook-off — raising funds for the Shrine's First Lady’s Project in the process. Good drinks, great cigars, healthy competition, and even better brotherhood — that's what the Alchemist Unit is all about.
