Illustrious Sir Harry C. Webb

Potentate - 1927

Perhaps the most important act in Potentate Harry C. Webb’s year was starting The Arabian, Arabia Temple’s monthly publication, which has kept the membership so well informed over the years. Advertisements were sold to defray the cost and the profits were divided among the uniformed units.

The membership accepted the Temple rooms on Main Street; however, the Divan was striving to acquire a more suitable Mosque.

Potentate Webb, an old railroad man, arranged to take a delegation to the Imperial Council meetings at Atlantic City, N. J. by special train which included a private car for the Potentate and his officers. About this time the impression began to prevail that Arabia was, “the greatest Temple in North America.”

The Crippled Children’s Ball exceeded $15,000 in net receipts and there was another gain in membership.
