Early in 1926, the property on Fannin and Walker was sold for $400,000 and the Temple moved to the newly-acquired property at Main and Anita Streets. Club rooms and Recorder’s office were located there but no rooms were large enough for monthly meetings. Arrangements were made to hold the monthly meetings in the Sunday School rooms of the Second Presbyterian Church.

Potentate J. Dixie Smith went over the 4,000 mark in membership in 1926 with a total enrollment of 4,089 members at the years end.
