Arabia Temple was still feeling the effects of the depression when Noble Joe A. Hudson was installed Illustrious Potentate in 1934. The membership remained loyal despite the fact that only a limited amount of entertainment could be provided.

The usual ceremonials were held with some success, but not enough to overcome the losses.

All-State was held in San Antonio and the Uniformed Units attended.
