The Motor Corps began 2026 with clear goals and strong determination. By planning ahead in late 2025, the group set out to grow membership, deepen fellowship, and ensure that fun and family involvement remain at the heart of their activities. This approach is already showing impressive results, with the Motor Corps actively participating in community events and strengthening bonds among members and their families.

Early Planning Leads to Early Success
In November 2025, the Motor Corps renewed its commitment to supporting the Shrine’s public outreach. The leadership understood that success depends not only on numbers but on the quality of relationships and the enjoyment members find in their activities. This mindset has helped the group stay focused on three key goals:
Increase membership by welcoming new faces
Strengthen fellowship through regular rides and events
Include families to build a supportive community
This clear focus has energized the Motor Corps as they entered the new year.
Community Events Showcase the Spirit of the Motor Corps
The Motor Corps has already taken part in several high-profile events this year. These opportunities allow members to represent the Shrine in public, spread joy, and demonstrate the true spirit of fraternity. Some of the events include:
Career Day at Freeman Elementary, where members engaged with students and shared their experiences
Mardi Gras Parade, bringing color and excitement to the streets
Conroe Parade, connecting with local residents
Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, celebrating community and tradition
Each event helps the Motor Corps build visibility and attract potential new members who see the group’s positive impact firsthand.

Monthly Rides Build Camaraderie and Growth
Since January, the Motor Corps has continued its tradition of Stated Monthly rides. While January and February saw slower participation as schedules settled, March’s ride proved the value of these gatherings. During that ride:
A new member joined the club, expanding the group’s reach
A Shriner who had fallen behind on dues renewed his commitment, rejoining the brotherhood
These rides offer more than just a chance to enjoy the road. They strengthen friendships, encourage commitment, and often introduce new people to the Motor Corps’ welcoming community.

Family Dinners Bring Everyone Together
The Motor Corps is also reviving a beloved tradition: family dinners. The first dinner of 2026 is scheduled for March 29th. These dinners provide a relaxed setting for members and their families to connect, share stories, and support one another. This year, the Motor Corps is opening the dinner to other Masons as well, offering a chance to introduce more people to the Shrine and encourage new memberships.
Family involvement is critical. It creates a strong foundation that supports the group’s activities and ensures long-term vitality. When families feel included and valued, members are more likely to stay engaged and active.

Looking Ahead: More Events and Opportunities
The Motor Corps is just getting started for 2026. With many more events planned, the group will continue to:
Represent the Shrine in the community
Build fellowship through rides and social gatherings
Grow membership by welcoming new Shriners and Masons
This proactive approach shows how thoughtful planning and a focus on relationships can drive success. The Motor Corps is proving that when a group commits to its goals and values, it can make a real difference.
