Willis Chili Cookoff Raises $23,000 for Shriners Children’s Texas

A bowl of chili can do a lot more than warm a crowd. Last night, American Legion Post 618 presented an incredible $23,000 check to Shriners Children’s Texas, raised through the proceeds of the 2026 Willis Chili Cookoff.

For 41 years, this partnership has brought people together around a cause much bigger than chili. The cookoff has become a tradition built on service, friendship, and a shared commitment to helping children and families receive life-changing care.
